BORDER COLLIE FEATURE -
NOVEMBER AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL DOG

Kylie LESLIE Email: trucharm@bigpond.com is the coordinator for contributions to the National Dog Border Collie Feature. If you would like to contribute or advertise, please contact/email Kylie, ASAP.

If you think you might like to write an article, some ideas might be herding, flyball, agility, tracking etc, Colours in the Border Collie, the Development of the BC or anything that you feel might appeal to the public then please email Kylie as soon as possible. To be fair to everyone it will be on a first come basis, National Dog has offered one page of editorial for every one page of advertising booked so that should give us plenty of space to cover all aspects of the Border Collie.

The month the feature will appear is NOVEMBER 2004 and the cutoff date will be the 12th October 2004.

Kylie's role is not to decide what is to go into the magazine but purely to coordinate those that are interested so we have a wide spread of articles and no double ups of information.

Don't miss your opportunity, act now.

OBEDIENCE RESULTS :

Thanks to the hard work of Charlene LEETHAM the Obedience results page will soon be up and running. Because of the prospect of a lot of work in receiving and formulating results, the page, to start with, will be restricted to members results and club show results.

The format in which it will be completed is up to Charlene and may change depending on what results are forwarded to her.

Frequently Asked Questions on the Border Collie

The new FAQ page has started. The format is currently based on a members FAQ page, based on feed back from members and visitor, the format may change, but I believe that this is a good start.

The intention of this page is to help novice, new owners and those who want to own a Border Collie in the near future. Our endeavour will be to address the simple and not so simple and touch on areas of whelping, temperament difficulties, obedience training and any other topic excluding veterinary advice.

T
he answers supplied by committee or club members are meant as a guide and a based on members past experiences. If you have alternative advice that could benefit others please contribute.
