Yes! It's back.

Sheepdog training for our sheepdogs

Are you interested in:
• Testing the instincts of your working dog?
• Learning to trial your dogs on sheep?
• Got some sheep to work at home?
• Just having a fun time with your dog?

Well known sheepdog trialler and breeder Laurie Slater has agreed to come
to our rescue ... or at least will help us find the answer to our questions.

BE AWARE: Many dogs do not react positively on their first exposure to sheep,
it is usually the second or third exposure that lights the fire ...

The club has organised several weekends to be available for training.
The structure will be:

• 2 -4 people in each session (Maximising instructor to handler/dog ratio )
• 3 hour session - morning or afternoon,
• Morning / Afternoon tea provided,
• Lunch provided.

Lunch allows/or the feedback to the morning participants and allows the afternoon participants to come and meet the instructor in a relaxed atmosphere beforehand.

It is strongly recommended that you enrol for 2 - 3 separate weekend sessions tomaximise effect and outcome. This, of course is not compulsory but a single sessionrarely gives a true indication of the ability of your dog or yourself.

The cost is $60.00 per person per weekend - all inclusive. A deposit of the first weekend in full will be paid with any further sessions paid 7 days beforehand.

Refunds of 90% will be paid of cancelled with one week or more notice; 50% if notified up to 2 days before and no refund will be offered if cancelled with less than 2 days notice.

Please respond as quickly as possible so that I can let the trainer know of the final timetable. Laurie is prepared to take on one person at a time so don't be put off because you think that no-one else may be interested.
